Clinical informatics research includes developing novel information technology, computer science and knowledge management methodologies for disease prevention and treatment, more efficient and safer patient care delivery, and knowledge access in health care settings. This research requires close collaboration among clinicians, biomedical and computational scientists, knowledge management professionals, educators, and healthcare consumers.
