Graduate Advising

Academic Advising
Students requiring academic advising can contact the BMI department to make an appointment with Kaitlin Yacob, graduate academic advisor, by calling 602-827-2547. For general advising questions, students can e-mail bmi@asu.edu.

Downtown Campus
The Department of Biomedical Informatics is located at the Downtown Phoenix campus in the Arizona Biomedical Complex (ABC) building. The University Center (UC) at the Downtown campus boasts modern classrooms, offices, labs, seminar rooms and study areas. It houses student services, Information Commons (Student Computing/ASU Library), the ASU Bookstore and a small café/coffee house.

Professional Development
ASU’s Graduate College offers a wealth of workshops, seminars and resources with their Strategies for Success Program, as well as T.A./R.A. resources and the Preparing Future Faculty program.

Academic Support
ASU’s Graduate College provides services to assist students with the processing of graduate forms, thesis/dissertation resources and assistance and graduation.

Career Services
ASU offers students several options for career services. Students are encouraged to attend events and workshops hosted by ASU Career Services. Each student is also encouraged to register with Sun Devil Career Link to search for internships and full-time career jobs, post your résumé, participate in on-campus recruiting and review upcoming career events.
