Dr. Parker joined ASU in 2008. He has been involved in biomedical informatics since he was a medical student at the University of Utah. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Parker joined the Medical Informatics group at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was involved in their clinical data modeling and decision support efforts. He is also an active member of the HL7 standards development organization and serves as a co-chair of their Modeling and Methodology Work Group and of their Clinical Decision Support Work Group.
